Legal Vandal

As it usually happens, this font is an extension of a personal project, for which I needed only a few characters. An obvious inspiration and reference to army and cargo fonts, Legal Vandal is meant to keep a clean cut, with a right balance between simplicity and legibility, leaving the after effects to physical applications, if any.

The font can be considered a recap of the older HighVoltage font, recreating lines and shapes with a geometrical precision, following the block, strong effect, true to OpenType dimensions and rules. OpenType features include Contextual Alternates, Fractions, Superscripts, Subscripts, Stylistic Alternates, Ordinals, Ligatures and Small Caps. The kerning was avoided as much as possible, to have a raw, almost accidental appearance, as most manufactured signage is made outdoor.

Trial fonts on loremipsum.ro are provided without a license, in TTF format only. The trial version includes all characters and font features, and should not represent a limitation for testing;
For copyright reasons trial fonts have embedding restrictions and may not always act as expected. Compatibility issues with softwares doesn’t necessarily reflects the way copyright free fonts work.
The font author shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage that result from the use of trial fonts.

The fonts are free for nonprofit projects and organizations. Causes for human or animal rights, charity projects can use the fonts at their convenience;
The fonts can be used free of charge in any cultural, educational or social event that is not promotional and provides a free access;
Personal portfolio works can include the fonts for free as long as the purpose of self-promotion is not to gain commercial benefits.

Restrictions

Embedding fonts in free projects is not allowed.
The free use is limited to images or outlined vectors;

PROCESS

loremipsum.ro has no access to sensitive payment information and doesn’t track, collect or share user data with cookies, analytics or other tools. To clear any concerns read the General Terms below.

Payment

Once the font selection is completed on loremipsum.ro, the user is redirected to PayPal for checkout. The payment is handled and secured exclusively by PayPal;
The PayPal account is optional. Cards accepted by PayPal are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner's Club and EnRoute.
After the transaction no further action is required from the buyer.

Documents

Both parties receive a payment notification that stands for the license document;
An invoice / receipt is issued with the info provided by PayPal.
Additional infos or documents are included on request;
Hard copies and verbose agreements are not preferred.

Delivery

The delivery is personal, done exclusively via email;
The attachment includes the invoice / receipt and the copyright free fonts in 6 formats: OTF, TTF, EOT, SVG, WOFF and WOFF2;
The delivery is not instant, a delay may occur due to time zone differences (local time UTC+02:00), and depends on how fast is the payment processed.

Refund

The Website is developed to display as accurately as possible the features and properties of each available font. However, there is no guarantee that the specifications will be accurate or free of errors on different devices or used in other conditions. Because of that, prior to making any purchase, a font should be tested in every available media and conditions, to make sure that this will meet every technical requirements and stylistic expectations.
The refund is possible if the copyright free fonts were not delivered yet to the buyer's address. Otherwise, the license purchase is final and non refundable.
Exceptionally, in case a font has obvious errors that were overlooked, without the possibility of repair, the refund is made with the same method of payment.
